Feeding direction

Inclusion is calculated from forage and feed Na, K, Cl and S concentrations, expected DMI and the target DCAD of the complete ration — to be confirmed by a qualified dairy nutritionist. Do not copy a lactation-premix dose into this product.

Precision transition nutrition

Feedora TransBovi Mx (TransBovi Master Mix) is a specialised close-up dry-cow premix that integrates anionic negative-DCAD management with vitamin, mineral, amino-acid and rumen-support nutrition. It is intended for the pre-calving transition period, as part of a professionally formulated total ration.

What happens in the three weeks before calving sets fresh-cow health, peak yield and reproductive recovery for the whole lactation.

How it supports the close-up cow

  • Negative DCAD technology — designed for close-up dry-cow rations to support appropriate prepartum acid-base status and calcium homeostasis.
  • Complete transition nutrition — integrated macro minerals, trace minerals, vitamins, amino acids, yeast and functional nutritional ingredients.
  • Calcium metabolism support — supports the physiological adaptation required for calcium mobilisation around calving.
  • Rumen and digestive support — yeast and selected rumen-support ingredients help maintain rumen function and feed utilisation through transition.
  • Antioxidant and immune nutrition — vitamin E, selenium and other essential micronutrients support normal antioxidant and immune functions.
  • Prepares for fresh-cow performance — complements a properly balanced close-up ration and supports a smoother transition into lactation.

NASEM 2021 positioning

NASEM 2021 predicts, for the example mature Holstein dry cow at fewer than 21 days prepartum, approximately 12.3 kg DMI/day and a minimum DCAD-S of −100 mEq/kg DM. The same reference table gives example diet concentrations of Ca 0.39%, P 0.21%, Mg 0.14%, K 0.69%, Na 0.17%, Cl 0.14% and S 0.20% DM, with trace-mineral and vitamin requirements varying by animal and diet.

Important. TransBovi Mx must be formulated to achieve the target nutrient supply and DCAD in the complete ration. A fixed premix inclusion rate alone cannot guarantee the final ration DCAD.

Composition platform

  • Macro minerals and selected mineral sources
  • Trace minerals: zinc, manganese, copper, cobalt, iodine, selenium and other approved sources as formulated
  • Vitamins including A, D₃ and E, with additional vitamins as formulated
  • Selected amino acids / protected amino-acid sources where included
  • Yeast and yeast-derived rumen-support ingredients
  • Anionic mineral and electrolyte sources for negative-DCAD formulation
  • Buffer and rumen-support ingredients selected so that they do not defeat the intended negative DCAD of the complete prepartum ration

Feeding direction

Inclusion rate must be calculated from forage and feed Na, K, Cl and S concentrations, expected dry-matter intake, and the target DCAD of the complete ration.

Do not automatically copy the BoviLac Pro PX dose into this product. For a negative-DCAD transition product, the inclusion rate is a formulation decision, not a fixed number.

Caution and monitoring

For animal feed use only. Not for human consumption. Intended for close-up / pre-calving dairy cows under a professionally balanced feeding programme.

Monitor ration mineral composition, urine pH where appropriate, dry-matter intake and cow response. Avoid use in lactating-cow positive-DCAD rations unless specifically directed by a qualified dairy nutritionist.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. Protect from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Keep the package tightly closed after opening.

Quality assurance

Every Feedora batch is released against the same three commitments.

SafeGuard

Free from all types of hazards.

Controlled ingredient sourcing against defined raw-material safety and quality specifications, so what reaches the animal is what was formulated.

ConsistEQ

Uniform consistency, batch to batch.

Controlled blending gives even distribution of concentrated micronutrients, so every scoop from every bag carries the same dose.

RigorGuard

Rigorous quality control.

Finished-product verification against the approved nutrient and functional specification before any batch is released.
