DCAD and rumen buffering in one premix
Two of the levers that decide how a ration actually behaves in the cow are its dietary cation-anion difference and its buffering capacity. They are related, they are both easy to get wrong, and on most farms neither is measured directly.
RumiCAD-D is a mineral and buffer-based premix formulated to complement both: the DCAD of the total ration and the buffering capacity that keeps rumen fermentation stable across production stages.

Feeding direction
Inclusion rate to be calculated by a qualified dairy nutritionist from the mineral profile of the basal ration and the target DCAD of the complete diet.
A fixed inclusion rate cannot guarantee the DCAD of the finished ration. The calculation has to start from the sodium, potassium, chloride and sulphur supplied by every ingredient in the diet, not from the premix alone.
How it differs from the transition programme
RumiCAD-D is a general-purpose DCAD and buffering premix for cows in production. It is not a close-up anionic programme.
